Thank you for visiting our website on behalf of the dynamic and dedicated members of the New Haven Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I am honored and proud to serve as the President of this exceptional, award-winning chapter of women dedicated to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
The New Haven Alumnae Chapter was chartered on October 3, 1959, by 23 courageous, dynamic, trailblazing women with a desire to continue the commitment begun by our 22 Founders. Since our chartering, we have steadfastly served the Greater New Haven area, expanded our impact and upheld the legacy of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Our chapter strives for excellence in all that we do for the good of the community, region, and sorority, as well as in partnership with other organizations that align with our purpose. Our goal is to leave a legacy where lives are impacted, communities are transformed, and the sorority’s mission is upheld.
Our commitment to service is unwavering. We host a variety of programs and initiatives that address critical issues in our community, including educational development, economic empowerment, physical and mental health, and political and social action. We also emphasize scholarships, providing financial assistance and mentoring to young people pursuing higher education. Our scholarship programs are designed to support students’ academic aspirations, helping them achieve their dreams and reach their full potential.
If you are a Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. member looking for a chapter to call home, consider the New Haven Alumnae Chapter. We are a vibrantly diverse chapter with all generations represented, and we would be honored to have you join us. There is a place for every Soror in the New Haven Alumnae Chapter.
Thank you for visiting our website. We also invite you to follow us on our social media platforms. We hope you will return frequently to obtain information on our upcoming events and programs and support our efforts to positively impact the communities we serve. We value the power of collaboration and invite opportunities to partner with organizations that share our mission.
Yours in Service and Sisterhood,
Katrina Rice
